I do hope everyone is doing ok. With exams currently underway for most public schools and exams looming around the corner for private schools, I have some very important information to share with you all:

1. INVOICES DESPATCHED
Invoices are despatched for June. Please settle on or before 1 June 2024 to avoid interruption in lessons. Please remember to reference your payment correctly either with your Invoice Number or your Name and Surname.
2. TEACHING CONTINUES ON VOTING DAY
It goes without saying, GO AND VOTE! But please note, we will still be having lesson on Wednesday, 29 May 2024. I will be voting early in the morning so will be fit and ready to teach in the afternoon.
3. RANDBURG EISTEDDFODD CANDIDATES
I have identified the following candidates that would possibly be ready to perform at this year's annual Randburg Eisteddfod held in August at Randburg High School.
Ariah Reddy
Meelah Reddy
Sean Wattam
Brigitte Wattam
Matthew Hanekom
Lea Jackson
Vahini Naidoo
Nikhar Hansrajh
Kiara Burmeister
Nova Ramsay
I will be in contact with you soon to give more information regarding the Eisteddfodd and whether you will be willing to participate. Remember, it is not compulsory but a great experience to have at least once.
4. TCL (INTERNATIONAL) EXAM CANDIDATES
Some students are preparing for exams, either digital or online. PLEASE ensure you allocate extra practicing times in order to be ready for your exams. This is a huge effort on each student to complete an exam and as such, it requires dedication and commitment.
5. MATHEMATICS & SCIENCE STUDENTS AND EXAMS
It is now getting serious! The exams are around the corner and by now, you should be setting out extra time daily to practice. Do not say I didn't warn you if you decide to leave it until the exam itself no matter what your level. Remember, for Grade 10, you will get most of the content straightforward with one question in each section that requires you to think beyond the scope of just the knowledge you gained. For Grade 11 and 12 you are required to think mostly beyond the basic subject grammar. As such, I am also now entering into exam mode when teaching. I will spend limited time during our sessions on questions on work being done during your school week and start doing exam papers to get you used to the structure and scenarios you will face during an exam. This WILL look different from what you have experienced in class tests, cycle tests or tutorial work. By this time, most of you will already have gone rusty with work done at the beginning of the year. My purpose is to have you ready to focus on the things you find tough and not have you spend precious time on the basics when it comes to study time closer to the exam. As such, I urge all of you to communicate with me on a constant basis if you have questions regarding weekly work done at school as I will start drills during lesson time that will be highly and intensely focussed on the exam. I will also expecting you to go beyond our lesson and practice as much as you can.
