And Term 2 starts! Welcome back everyone. I hope that we will have some great quality time together this Term. Here are some important things I would like to inform you about.

1. I CURRENTLY HAVE A COLD
I am currently battling with a cold that started on Friday, 3 May 2024. It is not flu and it is localised to my sinuses and the nasal drip is causing a cough. I am happy to do in person lessons in my state for this week but should my condition worsen, I will inform you as soon as possible. I might have to move lessons online. You have the option to attend it as such or to decline offcourse. I will be wearing a mask during lesson this week. Kindly also inform me should any of you that are doing in person are also sick so that we can plan accordingly.
2. TERM 2, WEEK 1: THEORY
We start our Term 2 with music theory. We will not be doing traditional music theory this week. For Graded students, you will learn about all the markings on your pieces that you are currently playing to help you better understand how it should be performed and played. For beginners currently busy with the Alfred series, we will be continuing normally with new theory as set out in that particular syllabus.
3. OVERDUE INVOICES
I have sent out new notifications on invoices that are still outstanding. First off, apologies for sending out overdue notifications to some of you that have paid. I have tracked your payments and all is reconciled correctly. Please note, if your overdue invoice has not been settled before or on your next lesson, I will not attend the lesson until payment is made in full. If you have decided to cancel lessons, please note that a full calendar month notice is required whether you will be using the remaining lessons or not.
4. INVOICE PAYMENT REFERENCES
Sage, the accounting platform I use at times automates allocations. This causes me to miss some payments at times. Mainly, this is becuase of references given that I cannot identify quickly and without error. When making payment, kindly use the current invoice number or your surname as reference eg. Richards or RichardsScience or Inv1098. Some invoices are using references that are dated back months or years and some only have INV written on them. This would help me reconcile much faster and with less errors.
5. UPDATE ON THE AVAILABILITY FOR TERM 2
I now have only one space that will be opening up for Term 2:
Monday (online): 2PM - 3PM or 2:00PM - 2:30PM or 2:30PM to 3:00PM
Wednesday (online): 7:45PM - 8:45PM (From 1 June 2024)
Friday (online): 2:15PM - 3:15PM or 2:15PM - 2:45PM or 2:45PM - 3:15PM
